I have a wide variety of hobbies. Sewing, watercolor and oil painting, killing plants I try so hard to love, eating, choreographing my own dances to 80’s music exclusively in my car, amateur woodworking, and getting overly excited about old furniture.

I love organization but am not organized. I’m working on it. Just like everything else. There’s a laundry list of things to do around the house, and another one of comparable size for self improvement.

It is easy for me to “zone out” during a project and miss taking pictures of critical steps. Expletives follow.

Growing up, I remember spending a lot of time in my room “creating”. On of my best friends and I would meet up every Friday, and, get ready for this: crochet. Ballin’ like two little old ladies. (Get it? Yarn balls, but also cool as hell.) My mom had given me her sewing machine that she had bought before I was born, and I started cranking out barbie clothes and actually joined a club where seniors got together to quilt. I was fat and adorable and they loved having me.

My crafting is on a much larger scale now. I focus on creating things for my home that I couldn’t otherwise buy in the store. (For a reasonable price) I love old furniture pieces and thrift store finds. I’m still a little chubby, and I’m mostly OK with that.
